K-Life is not only an organization & ministry, but it is a responsibility. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for K-Life, then we are really excited. In volunteering for K-Life, you will not only get to hang out with kids and other leaders, but you will take on the responsibility of making sure the kids involved in the ministry are protected physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
You will have the opportunity to walk alongside with kids of all ages -- the mountain moments & the deepest valleys. While you pour out & serve, you will see lives changed & transformed by the truth. We have a calling to make disciples. You get to love like Jesus loved, teach what Jesus taught, and serve like Jesus served. "Follow me as I follow Christ." This is the example we are asking you to be to these students. As the body of Christ, this is what we are striving to do & be in the Springfield community.
However, we are first responsible for our own relationship with Jesus.
If you want to be a K-Life leader, we WANT to hold you accountable to the following:
Personal Level
1. Spending time in God's Word.
2. Spending time in prayer.
3. Attending church regularly & being involved.
4. Personal accountability (drinking, drugs, sex).
5. Who is discipling you?
K-Life Level
1. Attending clubs and events.
2. If you lead a small group, meeting at least once a week.
3. Attending leader meetings.
4. Keeping contact journals (ministry accountability).

K-Life takes protecting kids very seriously, so you CANNOT be involved with K-Life until you have taken the steps above & have passed a background check. Once you've applied, been interviewed, and cleared to work with kids, you can start having the time of your life and making an impact in kids' lives. It's an honor and a blast.
